If you are searching for a licensed arborist in your area, you may search using the 'town' field or by filling in the zip code.  Partial zip codes also work.  In the list that is returned, arborists licensed by the State of Connecticut will have their license number listed in the 'Arborist License Number' field.  The number will begin with either a '6' or an 'S'. 
Not all CTPA members are licensed.
Also, not all licensed arborists are in business for themselves - many work for other firms or other groups, such as state agencies.

Please Note - In order to practice commercial arboriculture in Connecticut, an individual must hold an arborist license from the State of Connecticut.  It is the responsibility of the person hiring an arborist to verify that the individual hired is properly licensed and insured.  Do not be afraid to ask for proof!
